  1. With regard to a big gun demonstration, I wonder whether Averof's 9.2" guns are still operable. That wouldn't be as spectacular as a 16" gun, but it'd probably be easier to pay the Greek Navy to have a go at it rather than any of the US museum ships.

  2. Regarding the notion of doing extreme refits to the Fusos and Ises? I seem to vaguely recall that there was a proposal to remove all 6 turrets and rearm each ship with 3 triple 16" guns in A-Q-X layout.

  3. After which the Navy is going back to naming attack subs after fish, since they realized they'd run out of states. A problem that never would've happened if they'd left state names only for SSBNs.
