  1. While it's wonderful that USS Constitution has been preserved, it's really a pity no ships of the line other than HMS Victory exists so that we could do a more 1-to-1 comparison. Best chance of that would've been if USS Granite State (a training ship that was formerly the 3rd-rate USS New Hampshire) hadn't caught fire in 1921. Though what really would've been amazing to see would be USS Pennsylvania, basically a super-1st-rate (rated 130 guns, and all 3 gun decks having a uniform armament of 32-pounder cannons). Sadly she was in Norfolk when the Civil War broke out, and thus was burned to the waterline so the Confederates couldn't seize her.
