And for good reason. Russia literally ended Poland's existence as a country more than once. Few nations have as much experience being oppressed by Russia as Poland does.

@Wade__Wilson Perhaps Poland should give Russians a reminder of what that was like.

Not just a language; Russia invented the whole nation of Moldova. Not the name, that's entirely real. But the current country is only the eastern half of historical Moldova. The western half remains part of Romania, as it has been since 1859 when the Romanian principalities (Wallachia and Moldavia) united. The invention of the "Moldovan language" was one part of Russia's larger propaganda effort to create an artificial Moldovan nationality, so as to prevent a reunification (or re-reunification?) with Romania.

BRICS will officially vanish when India gets their invite to the G7. Bringing it back the the G8, but this time with a country that actually has a large enough economy to make sense inviting. (Having Russia in the G8 was one of the biggest jokes of all time.)

Nah, it's Bulgaria that isn't a real country.

25:10 The entire Serbian narrative that Kosovo's cultural and religious importance was completely fabricated by Serbian nationalists, BTW. The whole story of why Kosovo is so important to Serbia is at least 90% fiction. But it's all been taught as fact to Serbians for centuries now.

@unilajamuha91 Russian imperialism and colonialism didn't start with Putin. He's just doing what Russian leaders have always done.

@mitchyoung93 PPP, not actual GDP.

Yeah, saying that Moldovan is a separate language from Romanian is like saying that "American" and "Canadian" are separate languages from English.

@mareczek00713 That's why Poland should have another go.

@sobertowelie3267 It's a regional dialect of Romanian.

The Principality of Moldavia was called Moldova in Romanian. It's just more convenient to call it Moldavia because that makes it clear which one we're talking about. And yes, modern Moldova is only the eastern half of Moldavia that got stolen by Russia. The western half of Moldavia remains part of Romania.

@Veaceslav-eo2gf "Wallachia" was an exonym. Its actual name was "Țara Românească", meaning "Romanian Country". The Romanian language has existed for over 1300 years. Try again.

Because Macedonians said "fuck Bulgaria."
