  4.  @TwistedTales-ps4cz  That literally is how it works. Appeals courts do not reconsider the finding of fact by the trial court. They only consider whether there were errors in law by the trial court, and whether the appellant got a fair trial.

  6. There is nothing excessive about this fine. Given Trump's claimed level of wealth, a fine of this size is more than justified. The fines for fraud have to be large enough to be an actual deterrent to committing more fraud.
