  5.  @МояЛепта  The claim of '"territorial gifts" from Lenin is an utterly backwards lie. The reality is that Lenin stole Ukraine's territory. When Ukraine declared independence from the Russian Empire in 1917, not only Donbas and Crimea but also Kuban was part of its territory. When Lenin's Red Army conquered Ukraine in 1921 and forced them to join the USSR as the Ukrainian SSR, Crimea and Kuban were detached from Ukraine and added to the Russian SFSR. In 1954, Khrushchev returned Crimea to Ukraine. Yes, it was done without any referendum...because the USSR was a dictatorship. There was never any referendum in Ukraine about joining the USSR either. It was done at gunpoint.
