The fact that HCQ has been used for so long to treat malaria is why the side effects are so well-known. But malaria is so deadly that the side effects are worth the risk. And the reason there's so much opposition to using HCQ to treat COVID-19 is that it doesn't work. The people claiming it's a cure for COVID are quacks and charlatans. The actual medical research has showed that it does absolutely nothing to treat COVID.

  13.  @Bubbles-fw2ps  The reason for your doctor to give you Zpac when you have the flu is that a person weakened by the flu will often also get a bacterial infection. That's what happened to me when I got a pretty bad flu this January. I was given Tamiflu (antiviral) to treat the flu, and Zpac to treat an accompanying bacterial infection. Also, COVID-19 is not "like a flu". Just because they're both respiratory illnesses doesn't make them the same thing.
