Golf Bear I wonder when you wingnuts will ever realize that you're not the only ones who have guns.

Sean Insanity was already a conspiracy theorist before Trump entered politics.

@GbfhTime Define "western culture". There is no singular "western culture", there's dozens and dozens of different western cultures.

@glorymanheretosleep For the exact same reason Republicans became the party of Trump. All of the white supremacists congregated in the Republican Party.

@timothybennett0313 The right are the ones who actually hate the vast majority of the Constitution.

@timothybennett0313 You think you know the facts, but you're wrong.

@hannahanderson1999 Again, you show that conservatives live in a fantasy world.

Mr. Blinkers the cat Republicans fight to destroy education, because an uneducated populace is the only one that will vote Republican.

Warren Rhinerson Republicans are pushing to insert their own propaganda into educational materials, so that children will grow up misinformed (see the recent changes to Texas's textbooks). They're trying to cut funding to public schools and funneling that money to private schools without holding them to any sort of standards (see Louisiana's recent funding of creationist schools). And as for Republicans supposedly being happier and more generous than Democrats? The "more generous" claim comes from deceptive studies. And it's easy to be happier if you're willfully ignorant of the suffering of others, or just don't care about it.

Warren Rhinerson Really, you don't see any propaganda in how those Texas textbooks tried to practically erase slavery from US history (labeling slaves as "workers" and "immigrants", and denying that slavery was even a cause of the Civil War)? Or claiming that Moses was a major democratic leader who influence the Founding Fathers? Or science textbooks that challenge the validity of evolution and deny the existence of global warming? Or claiming that Muslims are the only group that ever engages in terrorism and that laziness is an inherent trait of Mexican culture? And as for that MIT study? It doesn't say what you claim it does. It shows that conservatives donate more, but overwhelmingly they donate to their churches. And as that very LA Times article you linked to pointed out, studies have shown that most churches spend only a quarter or less of the donations they receive on actually helping the poor. https://philanthropy.iupui.edu/files/research/giving_focused_on_meeting_needs_of_the_poor_july_2007.pdf Liberals on the other hand tend to donate their money to dedicated charities rather than to churches that do a little charitable work on the side. When adjusted for that, the MIT study shows there's no meaningful difference between how much liberals and conservatives give to help the poor.

z nathanial So "widely debunked" that the chairman of the RNC admitted to it and apologized in 2005.
1
+David webb So the Nixon presidency never happened? The Southern Strategy is something that Republican Party has continued to use every 4 years until 2016. At which point Trump dispensed with all subtlety and just openly and directly appealed to racists.

Mixer22 The Democratic Party in the 19th century was the right-wing conservative party. And Lincoln was a liberal who was literally a pen pal of Karl Marx.
