  2.  @victor2krk  The Ukraine military has not been on record saying it wants to destroy the dam. They've said they considered destroying the dam as a last resort. Why exactly would this be a "last resort" situation, given that the war is going in Russia's favor. Meanwhile, Russia has a very clear benefit to be gained right now by preventing Ukraine from crossing the Dnieper. Russia is also the nation that had the opportunity to destroy the dam. It was blown up from the inside. Russia had access to the dam to do that, while Ukraine did not.

  5. Those rockets last year are not what caused the dam to collapse. There was an explosion from inside the dam. Which could only have been caused by planting bombs inside it, and since Russian troops were in control of the dam they're the only ones wh ocould've done so.

  6.  @pashagoodlife9217  HIMARS rockets can't take down a dam. They're designed for much smaller targets. You could fire eight hundred of those rockets at a dam of this size and it wouldn't collapse. What those videos you reference show are internal explosions, meaning that bombs were placed inside the dam and set to detonate on a timer. Which is why the Russian troops in the area all evacuated the flood zone before the explosion.
