FYI, Combatants Will Be Dispatched is actually the predecessor of Konosuba. It just took much longer to get an anime adaptation. Not sure how Chivalry of a Failed Knight counts as a guilty pleasure, it's just a decent anime that answers the question of "What if Asterisk War didn't suck?"

Louise is technically a tsundere, but she's mostly just a bitch.

Nurlinda F Sihotang I really think the movie was hurt at the box office by Disney's silly insistence on not having "Mars" in the title. Having the title just be "John Carter" make it confusing to people not already familiar with the Edgar Rice Burroughs novel as to what the movie was even about. Not everybody pays attention to trailers, and calling it "John Carter of Mars" (as was originally intended) would've made it clear exactly what kind of movie it was.

That was such a shocking moment in the comics. The guy who's apparently just another random hired thug and then he wrecks Mark without even the slightest effort.

I really enjoyed John Carter and was very disappointed that it flopped (meaning no adaptations of the book's sequels).

+Solfei Movie rights are entirely separate from video game rights. What Sony owns are the Spidey movie rights.

@DejaVuae86 The fact that it was so bad that it got Akira Toriyama to actually care about Dragon Ball again is really amazing.

More to the point, Vegeta is a better husband and father than Goku will ever be.
3
The original Super Saiyan is why transformation sequences are such a staple of anime and manga.

I'm assuming a lot of it was backlash over the stunt casting of Johnny Depp as a Native American. Beyond that, it wasn't great but it wasn't bad either.

IIRC, that line because originally, there were supposed to be multiple times where Toad boasts about his powers and says "what happens when a toad does (X)?" So instead of being out of nowhere, it would've been in response to what he'd been saying throughout the movie.

She'd also be a better choice than Mugino. Seeing as Seryu remains a psychotic mass murdering psycho bitch to the very end, whereas Mugino gets better eventually.

+Mesal Gear Solid Yeah, Vegeta vs Buu was when Vegeta became a hero, rather than just a guy who has common enemies with the heroes.

This wasn't even all of the banned Pokemon episodes. It's crazy that Pokemon episode banned because of blackface is something that happened twice.

Didn't really expect Sailor Moon on this list. But I suppose it is the series that solidified the concept of magical girls as superheroes, so it makes sense.

@bigverybadtom Reagan did nothing of the sort. His ideology of tax cuts for the rich and deregulation of big business is something America still hasn't recovered. In large part because each time voters are foolish enough to elect Republicans, the same failed formula is used again. He also had absolutely nothing to do with "winning the Cold War". And are you seriously unaware of the CIA assassination programs that Reagan used to prop up right-wing dictatorships in Latin America?
1
@bigverybadtom You're the one trying to revise history. The reality is that Republicans bring nothing even vaguely resembling peace and prosperity. They bring war and poverty.
1
@bigverybadtom I leave Holocaust denial to kooks like you. Along with moon landing denial, HIV denial, and global warming denial.

Probably because its sheer size makes it pretty well impervious to a conventional attack. Either that or the power requirements of the superlaser were just so high that the shields would have to be turned off to charge it up.
1
Because he's too one-note. There's plenty of perverted characters in anime who are very popular. But that's because for such characters, being perverted is just one of their quirks rather than their entire personality. If there were anything more to Mineta's personality than his perversion, he wouldn't be a widely hated character.
1
Because her anime debuted the same year as Spy X Family, and there was no way anybody other than Yor was going to win for 2022.
1
@midhatsyed1034 Toriyama's original reason for pairing them up was simply to give Vegeta a reason to stick around on Earth in Goku's absence, and for there to be a way for another Saiyan to be born.
1
Technically, it wasn't Vegeta that killed Yamcha. It was a Saibaman.
1
@Bryan Lee Jasley did kill the best character in the show, so there's that.
1
Shikamaru and Temari were never literally trying to kill each other like Sasuke and Sakura did partway through Shippuden. Sasuke and Sakura started out on the same team, but they definitely were enemies for the majority of the series.

I mean, I fully understand why the went with the CGI suit for Green Lantern. The suit is an energy construct from the ring, so they wanted to make it look like one. If the CGI had actually been good then that probably would've been a great idea.

I was kind of surprised that they didn't just edit the name "Columbia" off the Space Shuttle.

Aside from the controversies, why couldn't the first Flash move ever actually be about the Flash? Why a loose Flashpoint adaptation that's filled with Superman and Batman stuff, instead of just Flash vs one or more of the Rogues? We didn't have the rest of the DCEU trying to take over Wonder Woman or Aquaman's debut films, and we didn't see them fighting a Superman villain instead of somebody actually tied to their mythos.

The Federation in Star Trek is supposed to be a society completely without money. The non-Federation races tend to all have some sort of cash, though. And Starfleet officers never seen to have a problem producing some latinum when they have to pay a their bar tab at Quark's.

She's not a "real" demon, but in-universe Japanese legend considered her one.

Yeah, I can't say it's good but it certainly doesn't belong on this list. Let alone ranked as worse than Conception and the Tsukihime anime we all wish was nonexistent.
