Russia's ask should be "let us go home and pretend this never happened". Anything more than that is patently absurd. And even that should be rejected.

Go ** yourself with a hot poker, oil industry shill. If only those regulations actually were "suffocating".

I'd be on board with giving Texas back to Mexico. But only if they agree to take Oklahoma with it.

@jimhemphill2841 Remember that US invasion of Cuba to force them to remove those Russian weapons? Neither do I.

@grahamtrigwell3042 Your "firm belief" has no connection to reality.

I hope the US is sharing intelligence with Ukraine to help them fight Russia. But the main reason Ukraine is doing so well against Russian forces is that the Russian Army is just really bad. It turns out that Russia is just North Korea with better equipment.

An agreement with Russia is worth less than a pile of shit. At least the pile of shit can be used for compost.

@veganchris2923 If they give in to Russia's demands, they still won't have a country left to defend. Putin has already proved that any agreement he makes won't be worth the paper it's written on. Also, Russia can't sustain this war. It's not just a matter of the troops they've lost. Their economy barely even exists anymore. Russia likely will be bankrupt as soon as next month.

@anthonylamb3488 That's not actually true. Donetsk and Luhansk don't "want to be Russian". They have Russian-installed puppet governments claiming to declare independence, but those governments don't in any way represent the actual people. This would be like if the US got a handful of guys to claim they're the "People's Republic of Siberia" and proclaim independence from Russia, and then pretended this meant the actual Siberian people wanted out of Russia.

@khunagnes1364 Russia's demands that Ukraine give them 15% of their territory and declare themselves forever subservient to Russia (that's what their demand of "neutrality" actually means) is completely absurd. Putin is the clown making obnoxious demands. Ukraine should never even consider this nonsense.

@LC-jy8mj You could make a much better case that the United States is run by Nazis than you could about Ukraine. After all, the Republicans have half of the Senate and nearly half of the House. By comparison, the equivalent right-wing party in Ukraine (Svoboda) has a whopping 1 seat out of 450 in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine's legislature).

@pietrojenkins6901 In just a few days, the ruble has lost half of its value. But then, the ruble didn't have a lot of value to lose. The ruble previously lost half its value after the invasion of Crimea and the subsequent sanctions, but it took more than just days to happen that time.

Whatever you say, StupidAlone.

Seriously, he violates every agreement he makes.

Putin has been running Hitler's playbook the whole time. If only he'd skip ahead to the part where he shoots himself in a bunker.

Russia's demands are insane. It's Russia that needs to be totally demilitarized and de-Nazified. Putin is Hitler 2.0.

@dc7503 Such as? Right-wing parties in general have only a single seat out of 450 in Ukraine's parliament.
