Several other 8x8 AFVs in the same weight class can mount a 120mm smoothbore, so it should certainly be possible to make an improved Type 16 with that capability.

@mappingshaman5280 Liberia was very much colonized. That the colonizers in this case were formerly slaves or the children thereof and came from the United States rather than Europe doesn't change that fact. There wasn't any pan-Africanism going on in 19th century Liberia; the Americo-Liberians just moved in and took over, subjugating the indigenous Africans. The latter didn't even gain citizenship until 1904.

Seems to be inspired by the Soviet BRDM-2 (the silhouettes are incredibly similar), but a bit larger and better-armed, and probably more reliable since it lacks the BRDM's retractable auxiliary wheels (something that usually gets removed in post-Cold War BRDM upgrades by nations that can't afford outright replacement with modern vehicles).

Seems like Colombia desperately needs something to replace the EE-9 in the fire support role. The "Commando Select" with a 90mm Cockerill turret would at first glance seem like an obvious choice, since it could integrate so easily with the large force of M1117s. But I've heard nothing good about that platform, so maybe Colombia should look elsewhere.
