Personally, I think the Lincoln Project is doing exactly the right thing. Only some of their ads are actually about convincing people to vote against Trump. The rest are mean specifically to be seen by Trump. To troll him. To make him even angrier and even stupider than he already is, so he'll screw up his own campaign even worse than he otherwise would.
