The idea that it was somehow a "slap in the face" to Bernie supporters that Biden got more votes than him is simply bizarre. And the claim that Biden "watered down" any of Bernie's proposals is simply a lie.

Every single nation has public healthcare does it cheaper than the US, and most of them also get better results. The premise that the same couldn't be done in America is just idiotic.
