  4. peepeevagi If you're rich enough to afford an USAS-12, the ATF's $200 transfer tax would be a trivial addition to the cost. BTW, there's actually somebody in my town that owns an Oshkosh MK48 LVS. They might not sell them to the general public, but used ones apparently get surplussed out.

  5. Because of the name. The Brady bunch saw that a shotgun was named "Streetsweeper" and shat themselves, figuring that OBVIOUSLY gangsters were going to use it to "sweep the streets" with lead. They proceeded to lobby the ATF to get it banned, and were successful.
