  2. The Bren is in fact a .303 adaptation of the ZB vz. 26. "Bren" is a contraction of "Brno" (as in Zbrojovka Brno) and "Enfield". I don't think the Mle 1924 was any influence on it. They just came independently to the top-mounted magazine arrangement.

  3. Was the two-trigger arrangement just mechanically easier to implement? Because the single trigger and selector switch seems like a no-brainer. Then again, that might just be in hindsight, since it's been the standard arrangement for so many decades.
