  1. The US had a very similar infrared sight for the T3 and M3 variants of the M1 Carbine (which Ian has already done a video on). The T3 actually saw combat on Okinawa, and the M3 was used in the Korea War. Fortunately the Vampir never actually made it into combat, or at least I don't think it did.
