  1. Republicans are enraged by how Trump wasn't allowed to simply reign as a king. The idea that the DOJ wasn't his personal law firm (despite Barr's best efforts) and the FBI wasn't his personal goon squad constitutes a "deep state coup" in their so-called minds. But that's just how Republicans think. The only odd part is that they're bringing it up while Biden is in office. Normally Republicans totally support DOJ independence from the President whenever that President is a Democrat.
