@pyrite13 Any officer who would quit over the repeal of qualified immunity is somebody who should never have been allowed to be a cop in the first place. The only reason a cop needs such immunity is if they're going to break the law. As for body cameras, I strongly disagree. Every moment that a copy is on duty should be recorded, without exception. There shouldn't even be an off switch for their body cams. And as for cameras breaking, if that happens with suspicious timing then I'd suggest a three strikes policy. With the third time a body cam suspiciously "breaks" right before a cop gets involved in an incident where he's accused of misconduct, the result would be the cop is banned for life from having any involvement in law enforcement. And no-knock warrants are a "tactical tool" that cops shouldn't have at their disposal. We don't let cops have absolutely every "tactical tool" that exists. Some are just too dangerous for use in law enforcement. And no-knock warrants have proved to be one of those.

@Jervisdude That's the thing. For all practical purposes, the United States might as well have infinite money. Just look at how there's never any trouble finding money to pay for the defense budget, which usually includes more money than the military even asked for. Just look at how trillions can always be found to bail out the largest corporations. Having fully independent review of police departments, and a special prosecutor's office that only handles police abuse cases (so as to eliminate the conflict of interest of having a DA who works with police every day deciding whether a cop will be prosecuted)? That simply wouldn't be very expensive at all.

Actually, it's because the Trump Regime approves of all the police brutality.

With regard to such a "bad actors database", if enacted as a matter of law it would do away with any contracts requiring destruction of records. A contract that requires illegal acts is void.
