@bkm2797 The problem with that idea is that there are lots of people in the Israeli intelligence community that utterly despise Netanyahu and would surely take the opportunity to expose him if he deliberately allowed the attack to happen. I lean toward it simply being arrogance on Israel's part. They've been in such a dominant position for so long, they just assumed they'd be able to very quickly deal with any attack.
