  2. Try to learn the meaning of supercharger and turbo-supercharger, usually referred to as a turbocharger. The Brit P-38s had superchargers driven by the crankshaft not turbochargers driven by the exhaust gasses. The only Allisons without any form of super/turbocharging were early units used on American airships.
