Addictions are self destructive to an extent even food addiction because you will gain weight and get diabetes etc. People have to get to the root of the problem and learn how to cope, according to freud we are in constant battle with the forces in our brain

@BAGofTALENT trauma isn't vague it just gets dismissed a lot because people associate it with combat vets

@K87jk its not all trauma that is the problem but i think y'all are downplaying how complicated and tricky trauma itself can be

@BAGofTALENT maybe if its one "traumatic" event it could be false trauma but many traumatized people have complex PTSD you can look up what that means and its not something that is an exaggeration

@deedeemooreco.2304 i agree mostly with that statement, lately i did have a pity party with myself and then i saw this guy on tv who is like a master piano player and can only play with one hand because he got paralysis on one side of his body from his dad beating him. and i was like you know what my life isnt over lol.
