That's where the problem comes from, adult men are not able to solve problems on their own. No one wants such "friends".

The net (especially social media) is not for comfort sadly, one got to except the truth. He just can change that himself. So stop pointing fingers at people that want to really help and not just whine about how "bad" it is...

  11.  @knowingjake  First of all, you shouldn't share every personal problem online. Well as hard as it sounds: When you're an adult and have so much trouble figuring out where and how to meet new people? That's a massive problem and you're the only one who can fix it. My best advice? Get a hobby that "forces" you outside, there are plenty of opportunities to get in contact with other people. BUT you have to make the first step... (and not whine about it on the web)
