We didn't know anything about AIDS in the beginning, itwasa hortible sickness, ofcoursewe stayed away from it as we were told we can catch it if we go near them!!! I remember it all changed when Princess Diana showed us it doesn't catch by shaking hands, as we thought at first. Maybe we did know it didn't but what if the person sneezed or coughed? Would we then catch it? We knew nothing and were afraid. Thakfully we then learned it was safe to be around people with aids and that we couldn't get it by breathing the same air. There is nothing to be ashamed of how we were without knowledge back then!
