@colorbar.s but if you have other children too then you are obligated to allpw them to have a normal childhood! I would not sacrifice my healthy children for my unhealthy dangerous demanding child. I would put my unhealthy child in a home especially meant for them,and then be a good mom to my other kids and of course go and see my sick child often. But there is no rule saying your other children has to live with a screaming violent sibling!

@Robinicat absolutely, you don't need to have your own life destroyed for ever. If you've done the best you can for 18 years then for sure you have right to step back and breath and travel and live your own life.

assisted living is fine in my opinnion, you get to treasure and enjoy the times together with your son whenever you see him, instead of getting all warn out of having to care about him constantly.
