@EK-fl8yz don't you needboth parents to agree and give permission to take the children abroad? My friend is divorced and when we went to travel with ourkidsshe needed her ex husbands permission to take them out the country, butI live in Scandinavia,I guess it's different here?

@EK-fl8yz I think in this particular case the dad gave permission for her to go because he thought she'd come back, but I mean in other cases it should be difficult to take the chikdren out without both parents permission

The children will eventually find him when they become adults and see their fathers youtube-videos, and he can also try to reach them on tv, newspapers,once they are 18, I hope the kids will turn their back on the mom compleately once they get reunited with the dad and hears of his struggles to get them. It's just sad that he misses out on their childhood-years.

@sarabear8087 wow, well I can understand the dad had his doubts of never seeing his baby again, but in that case they are probably divorsed by now.

@dalia5378 I think he did sign them,he must have done that,but in that time he trusted her and didn't think she would disappear withthe kids...

I see that the mother is very down to earth,I agree with everything she says,she uses common sense and her kids are happy and relaxed. Why would kids only go to school and study and not have fun in between? Life is not only about studying your whole childhood,it's about having fun also and balancing those two things. I would have very hard having my children in a schoolsystem where you are not supposed to ask and question things, but I'm not saying it is wrong,it might be good but here in Scandinavia we have the opposite:the more you ask and show interest(by questioning the teacher) the more smart you seem! But of course not too much,then you become a pain in the ass disturbing the teacher..

I always worry that maybe one or two of those who escapes N.Korea are actually spyes,brainwashed until they would never see anything good about America and then allowed to escape to bring information to N.Korea? But,what information could they bring,they would not be allowed to work in the government or at the white house or anything like that anyway so it's just my imagination again.
