  1. In a way I feel with the moms,I went to my homecountry beeing pregnant with my child but I allowed the dad to visite us as much as he wanted. If I had stayed in his country I would have been very sad and unhappy;he had a mistress and he was never interested in family-life,he wanted to sleep or be with his friends when he was home. I realized how much my parents would miss out on not beeing able to meet and spend time with my baby,and I had friends who had just gotten babies too in my home country. I realized that I could choose weather to let my child have a father who would never spend time with him or to have grandparents who would love him with all their hearts. So I left a very insecure and sad and boring life and came back to my home-country where I was loved and had family and friends. My child and I had a wonderful life and I have never regretted what I chose that time. In my case me and my baby even made visits back to the dad a few times,he was never gonna make us stay anyway as I refused to marry him and refused to let the baby have the same religion as him. Why would I,I knew what kind of "family"- life was waiting for me and my baby there,,if I would stay. Although sometimes in these cases the dad is a wonderful dad and the child would be much happier with him,it is different from case to case. Don't always blame the one who left with the child,sometimes it is better for the child.

  2. He should have gone with her to visit her family,and he should have invited them to visit her! It takes brains and money to start a relationship with a foreigner.

  3.  Paul Jenkins  Not always,as relationships can change and what was deep love in the beginning can change and become just friendship(if even that), and if the mother makes no new friends in her new homecountry she will feel very very sad and lonely having a baby there and not having anyone to share motherhood with. Don't make a woman pregnant unless she speaks your language fluently,has good friends and a job she likes!! Unless she has all that she is not very likely to stay after she has got a baby. She needs friends around her,also, go with her to visite her homecountry,invite her family over,help her adjust! As a man you have responsibility in who you make pregnant!!!!

  4.  Paul Jenkins  I get exactly what you say but taking any foreign woman and making a child with her is a huge risk. What is wrong with making sure that the woman has a job,friends,knows your language,before you make her pregnant? ofcourse she might still run away but the risks are much smaller. Learn from mistakes that have been made so many times before. Same thing with women who makes children with men from Afganistan,Irak...when will they learn?

  5.  Paul Jenkins  no I am not taking their side but I am not as surprised about their actions as you are. I am more surprised how easily people trusts foreign women and men who dont speak the language properly and who dont have their family in that country. What could go wrong?
