He won't get any shorter by everyone commenting on how tall he is..if he was short or fat would everyone comment on that too? It's not always fun to be so much taller than others AND have people commenting on it all the time..

@dario1837 Actually, I guess not, but each family has their own saying in this, for example my mom has said clearly that she don't want anyone to dress in black on her funeral, she hates black and wants everyone to come in bright colourful outfits! So for the Trumps they probably new Ivana prefered family to come in outfits that was typical for them. Nothing wrong in that as long as the family is okay with it.

@dario1837 before it was expected that everyone turns up in black, well covered but we are living in modern times now, people change and routines change and everything is not so strict anymore. If it's good or bad is a whole other question; some thinks it's good and some don't.
