  1. Same thing in every country with armys, also in Finland, you rise in the eyes of people if you have been in the army, you get certain jobs easier. In the army you learn to obey, and to follow rules. I guess that has something to do with why they prefer people whos been in the army.

  2. The guy in 6:50 is right, the problem has to be discussed between arabs and jewish, over and over again. It will slowly slowly solve by itself(I believe) with a few more generations talking,interacting,sharing schools,hobbies,living-areas. In the end when the arabs and jewish has blended with each other it will be very difficult to say who should live here and who should live there. It is also VERY important for arabs,Palestinians, to get good education, to be needed in the Israeli society. Become doctors,dentists,teachers,engineers...not just to continue in their fathers car-shops or shops or restaurants...places that don't matter to the Israeli society. If Israel needs your profession you will be important to them, you can make a change.

  3.  @ef2718  here your rented apartment gets payed for while you are in the army, you don't really need a monthly income while you are there. Also our army-time is very short,less than a year,but very strong!

  4. at least I remember 30yrs ago Palestinians could not travel within Israel freely,they couldn't just drive to Eilat or across the country without permission. If they did they where stopped and asked millions of questions. But maybe that is not a problem anymore?

  5.  efopo  okay,I'm remembering in -85,-86 something,I had Palestinian friends and we travelled to Eilat and they were very scared that they wouldn't be letting passed the checkpoint; they were let passed but asked so much about where and why they were going there,same questions that are asked at the airport I think, and same when we travelled up North to Haifa. A little later,maybe a couple of years,they said they needed permisdion first if they wanted to travel to Eilat but I only have vivid memorys about it,I could be wrong?
