I as a Scandinavian, tried to live in Israel when I was young. I loved Israel,I met and worked with both jews and Palestinians. But I was homesick all the time, I could have moved there only if my whole family and relatives and friends had moved too! I never understood how someone can leave their country for good, it's so sad!

@MuzzaHukka that too was a problem,I never felt welcomed,I felt like a second-class citizen. That's something the jewish people needs to work on,accepting other religions too...I knew many Scandinavian and European young women who had married an Israeli, each one of them had converted into judaism, not only for their children to become Jews(pressure from husband) but for themselves to have a much easier life,to fit in there) I would not convert unless I believed in the religion.

@ayomichanisapalestinesuppo8729 well it is not possible to compare a real war with a situation that the "palestinians" created for themselves😂

@ayomichanisapalestinesuppo8729 some people might also get offended if I wrote Israel/Palestine, and some people might get offended if Iwrote I'm an atheist and some people might get offended just because they love to create drama😁

@ayomichanisapalestinesuppo8729 Ukraine did nothing to start this war, they were a quiet, peaceful people that we hardly ever heard of even, they made no noise about themselves, until one day they woke up to Russians bombing their country! Young Russians who didn't even want to bomb them, who were forced to go there and destroy the people, and doing it because they have to. Then we have the Palestinians who were offered over and over again to have their own areas in Israel, but they never accepted it so UN gave it all to Israel. Most Palestinians wouldn't even want a Palestinian government, they are quitehappy with an Israeli government, but that is not to be mentioned...

@MuzzaHukka well, it's hard to say, I guess if you have your whole non-jewish family around you it's okay, then everyone will know oh,that's the Christian-family, and they'll be okay with it. But to be alone and maybe date a jew or marry him/her, is different. But as a family of christians you're okay. This is my experience, I'm sure there are people who feel different, that religion doesn't matter at all.

@yonatanmonneler1744 actually it was in Jerusalem and in the middle of the country. Not up north.

@BennyDACHO I'd also like to ggo back all the time, but only as a tourist. I'm glad your mom had no problem with not converting! I know too many who converted jjust to be accepted by their husbands families,AND to make it possible for the children to be Jews.

@rere930 well yes, I guess it does matter what country you came from, but for me I loved the climate, the sun,the beach, the both languages, the food, the mentality and all the tourists there also; like we were all in the same boat, there to enjoy it! But my family and friends and healthcare and clean country and own language and even the winter..I missed it all❤️

@chaselee86 I believe you're right, for me everytime I went home it was like "THIS is my home, not Israel, Israel is my holidy-home, but this is my real home, my base, my safeplace". I'm so sorry you didn't have that feeling about your homeland, I hope you feel at home now, wherever you are.
