@hossabu221 Ues, but Palestine was the whole land, including Jews. The Jews couuld have called in Palestine when they finally established Israel in 1948 but "Israel" was more appealling. I went to school in the Northern countries in the 70's. I remember my teacher in religion, he was a very educated man. When he taught us about "Israel" he never ever called it Israel, he said Palestine and he called every person there Palestinian. I didn't reflect on it back then but years later it started to bother me. He taught us about how Israel was established and he told us it's new name was Israel but when he talked about Biblical times he allways said Palestine.

@hossabu221 I have NEVER heard that, I thought Arabs(Palis) were just quietly living in Israel, never asking for a state of their own UNTIL the Jews came and started building it up, turning it into a nice land.
