I grew up in the Northern countries, Finland. I walked to school alone from day one. In winters I skied. There was a deep forest on one side of the dirt road; my dad said if anyone tries to get you into the forest SCREAM the loudest you can! I had huge respect for the forest, and allways hurried past it. At age nine I changed school and had to take the train to school! My dad said "don't stand past the yellow line ever, and you will be safe" I never ever stood closer than the yellow line while waiting for the train. I was a obedient kid, I trusted my dad, that he knew what he talked about. After school every kid did their homework and then played outside until five o'clock when it was dinner time. After dinner most of us went out to play again until 8-9 o'clock, and many of us lived in apartments, if it started to rain we played hide and seek in the basements of the buildings until someone shouted to us to get the heck out of there! And here in the North it's pitch black outside all winter, from three-four o'clock in afternoon!

@artyomnuzhdin8711 Yes I agree, I love to live here and I am so happy my kids got to grow up here. It is still safe here, kids play outside from young age and go to school by bus or train or subway, by themselves, from first grade.

@artyomnuzhdin8711 I am glad you enjoy these countries! I have never been to Canada, my aunt lived there all her life since she moved there as a young single woman in the beginning of 1900, and I allways wanted to see Canada, but now I feel Europe is enough; there is so much to see here, and I like that I don't have to sit more than about three-four hours in the plane, wherever I go!
