They're gearing up for a LONG drawn out War , so Russia is bogged down I Ukraine for years .....thus removing a lot of its resources from aiding China ( Russia's ally ) when thingshot up with China/Taiwan ...... They tried the same thing many years ago with Afghanistan .....wanting Russia bogged down there for years thus taking away much of its ability to aid China in the event of conflict .....NATO/US even did a scenatio on this ....from memory one of those involved was John Bolton (PNAC ...Project for the New American Century ) .
