  1. ​ @Brecconable  Correct. I wasn't aware that ⅔ of the British citizens were against immigration. Thought the parties in parliament would be worried about losing seats. Guess you can't lose seats if no major party is advocating for and actually doing something about the issue at hand. Surprised BNP or some other anti-immigration party didn't spring up back then. They could have swept away labour-conservative duopoly.

  2. Party ran on anti-immigration and won. That governing party that won went on to enact policies pro-immigrant. So campaign promises being the exact opposite of the actual governing after they won—screw the plebs (electoral dictatorship). Sounds about right. 😂

They could have swept away labour-conservative duopoly. Maybe someday my home country 🇯🇵 and my neighbour 🇨🇳 will be diverse with whites, blacks, etc. No race riots yet.
