  2. Imagine if news media were required to have a board of editors, comprised of one conservative, one libertarian, one progressive, one socialist, etc. And they all had to agree on wording and angle. That would bring an actual neutral media.

  3. "Melting pot of cultures..." Kinda. Each canton has its own culture, and each region has its own language. At the cantonal (state) level, it's mostly homogenous to ensure social harmony. At the federal level, all cantons are represented as well as the people directly. And the federal council (collective executive) has a mixture of different languages, different parties, and different cantons, to prevent one man rule.
