Devil's advocate, but is the president technically above the law? If I order executions of hundreds, if not thousands, of people, I would be charged with mass murder, mafia charges, torture, kidnapping, terrorism, enticement to murder, and violations of airspace, amongst others. A president can legally do such and is granted some sort of immunity (within the US at least, even if violating UN treaties and war crimes that we once executed high ranking Germans and Japanese for). Sad. We've become the thing we swore to destroy.

Speaking of many us presidents since ww2. Sad. We've become the very thing we swore to destroy.
