I can understand if Russia played as a counter weight role against US. However, you can't just ask another country like Poland, Lithuania, Ukraine, etc to just follow Russia's sphere of influence. After WW2, Russia had in its possession Berlin and the Russian block. Instead of focusing on its economy and reducing corruption, it focused on military buildup as well as bringing nuclear warheads to Cuba. These former Soviet blocs lost many years of real economic growth. Russia failed with its dumb policies and you are asking those former Soviet blocs to bite the bullet and be a servant to Russia? Don't people have lives to live and the freedom of choice? You're asking the people to stay corrupt and be poor. America did not expand as much as the former Soviet blocs wanted economic freedom & security, and so does Ukraine. Don't sell me this idea that Russia has the right to invade Ukraine and it's US's fault. That's BS!
