Communism means that a man gets things according to his work, his input into the society. In the USA maklers, traders and financists arr hundreds and tousands times better off than working people. Now there's no country in the world that is further from the communist and socialists ideals than the USA. I am European and am always surprised how much common Americans are influenced by the anti-communist propaganda made in the favour of US capitalists whi privitized FedReserve and US state budget.

@eclock87 Elites of socialist countries lived at maximum 5 times better then average citizens. Their children couldn't inherit the high living standards. Those were the consequence of respected positions in government, economy, army, science or culture. Nothing like family Bush or family Clinton existed in countries that were socialist. Dictators in Kambodscha or Africa who named themselves communist just lied. They used the word to give ideological tint to their robbery. Capitalistic propaganda purposefully mixes these ugly dictstorships with real socialism in order to produce a frightening picture. Badly educated US citizens don't get it.

@eclock87 Socialist countries were living in the constant terror. They had to allocate almodt half of dtate budgets for military purposes because of the thread from the USA and NATO during the cold war This is the main reason of their collapse. The propaganda you have on your American TV has NOTHING to do with socialism. It's about individual indulgences, pleasures and perversions. Socialism is about honest labour, solidarity and care.
