Many nations have inspirations for independence, yet it's rare that state boundaries of multinational states change while a state is strong and healthy. Yet, sometimes the minorities are lucky to get an autonomy within the state and personal respect for their different national identity. The later is fully implemented in the Russian Federation.

Budanov, who was ordering to kill and jail people for their political views, is a criminal of s Nürnberg Process scale and knowing this he is ready to sacrifice anybody in order to avoid a fair investigations of his atrocities.

@Pythoner I have friends in Tatarstan and in Chuvashia: these autonomous republics have very much cultural and economic independence, their languages are taught in schools, there are national mass media, free religion, independent budget. You have no clue about the national politics. Do you live in Moscow?

@Pythoner there are crazy extremists everywhere. Parents often chose to send their kids to Russian schools because the level of education is higher there than in national schools. Chuvash people should translate and create good textbooks in all subjects and develop their culture themselves and can't expect that Russians will do it for them. On the other hand there are several acknowledged Jewish schools in Sankt Petersburg because Jews were able to offer good education there. Probably they got additional funds from oligarchs or from Israel. But it is life. Not any language survive nowadays.
