  3. to the people that dont know dune's universe.... 1-AI and computers in general are FORBIDDEN, any planet that uses or researchers machines that mimic the mind of man are to be swiftly glassed with nukes with zero mercy. 2- instead of computers they have people called Mentats that use a liquid made from spice that "opens" the mind and their mind becomes like a super god like computer. 3- space travel is achieved by navigators that literary LIVE in a spice saturated environment (their existence... a secret kept by the space guild) they are insanely expensive to upkeep, think of a person that literary eats gold as a diet. 4- the dune universe is ruled by a group of houses that won and survived the Butlerain Jihad, where humanity was on the brink of being enslaved by a God level AI that was based on earth, long story short, earth and most of the old colonies are dust balls, and many houses and organizations like the Bene Gesserit were formed. organization and many more interesting stuff
