Having watched the actual movie - Drinker turned out to be entirely wrong in his conclusions based on the trailer. He had good reasons for his assumptions - but the movie itself was excellent. Easily my favorite Predator movie after the original. More like this one please.

Chris Stuckmann is fine. I don't know why Critical Drinker keeps taking shots at him. Its not funny. It just makes Drinker sound like he is actually a shithead in real life. That and his frequent pro-MAGA bullshit.

Maybe they can 'ugly Sonic' their way out of this? Its a long-shot for sure. Yet meanwhile Toho just released the best Godzilla movie ever made and on a paltry $15M budget to boot. I think the real problem at Disney isn't a tan Snow White but an issue of being cash-rich but creatively-bankrupt.

Mandalorian Season 1 & 2 were great. Andor was great. Rogue One was good. The Force Awakens was OK. EVERYTHING else that has been published under the Star Wars brand by Disney has been absolute hot fucking garbage. And yet they keep making more.

Perfect opening inventory. Well written, capable, and awesome female characters are a long tradition in American Pop Culture. But the horrible shit we've been getting from Disney/Marvel/Star-Wars/etc. for the last decade has been the product of lazy, talent-bereft, agenda-driven, and socially retarded executives and creatives working in the mainstream entertainment industry. Thank god for the democratization of creative production made possible by relatively cheap and accessible movie-making technology, and many options for ready distribution, that enables truly talented independent artists to publish compelling works of creative integrity.

Who would have thought that a Star Wars show so thoroughly sodomized with the self-indulgent, masturbatory identity-politics of Harvey Weinstein's personal assistant would turn out to be absolutely atrocious and hated by viewers.

It it quite possible that Carano's statements, much like Roseanne Barr's were extremely stupid and objectionable - and just as wrong-headed as the pandering bull$#!t being shoveled by Disney show-runners for the past few years. (see the Horseshoe Theory of Politics which proves that extremists on both ends of the spectrum actually tend to behave just like each other and are guilty of much of what they accuse each other of doing) Add Musk to the fray and its an idiot convention on all sides. Would prefer Disney simply return to a focus on telling good stories, and stop this endlessly virtue-signalling caravan of garbage that has characterized their products since wrapping up Endgame.

Studios have cranked out so many of these terrible movies, that I couldn't blame Chris Stuckmann for just side-stepping the movie itself and directly addressing the over-arching problem of studio dysfunction that is the root-cause of the chronic awfulness they all have in common. The intersection of contractual-obligation publishing and panderverse values just results in lazy, uninspired, boring, stupid, and ultimately unsuccessful product. Nobody wants this. Writers, actors, and directors all want to be in good projects. I don't blame them for getting a paying gig. But it doesn't seem to matter how talented you are, it is virtually impossible to overcome the sabotage inflicted by a creatively bankrupt studio that holds all the purse strings and none of the vision.

Seeing this movie in the theater in 1986 when I was a teenage student in Mankato, MN was akin to seeing the original Star Wars in the theater when I was 11 years old. I don't think anything today can replicate that experience. The thought that any studio today would have the arrogance to remake this movie approaches blasphemy and is destined to absolute failure.

Looks like a premise that could have been brilliant if directed by Terry Gilliam.

Its like scientists in a lab formulated a movie that perfectly embodies everything wrong with the self-indulgent, wanna-be SJW, exercise in masturbatory identity politics embraced by the absolute worst of Hollywood so-called 'liberal' producers. Thank you for watching this movie so I don't have to.

Kathy Kennedy is the Joe Biden of Disney, except there doesn't seem to be any smarter people in the room pushing her to step down. Kennedy will continue feeding her ego at the expense of the brands she is mismanaging, but she'll feel justified because she did her "goodest".
