TPTB take their authority from God, the monarchy rules because they claim some sort of divine right so if they want to abandon God they can go back to being ordinary people, give up their crowns, their titles, their palaces, their lands and do one!

@crowsarefab - Well what was all that about with the archbishop and all the ceremonial BS? also why shroud him in secrecy when they were adding vestments I guess?

@crowsarefab - No power so they are just empty tital's/vessels, head of state, head of the armed forces (who all swear the oath of allegiance to the monarch not the country) head of the church of England, so none of it means anything, we should just be done with them then, I rather think they have more power than they let on though, and even if they no longer claim the divine right of kings all so called authority takes it from God hence swearing on Bibles and or Korans.
