Society shouldn't have less respect for women who have been on only fans. But this is currently the case. So these women should have thought this through and it's a dumb thing not to do so. Then again, I believe there's a path of logically dealing with the consequences and arguing oneself out of the backlash. But are there women capable of this, after failing to think it through in the first place? Playing victim and whining about it doesn't yield good results.

@DylanYoung Their job leads to their children getting bullied because there are too many bullies at school, even the school is a bully. That's the real issue. Kids are taught to hate each other. The bullies will find a reason to bully, no matter if it's because of OF, or because someone's too short. Right here people are excusing bullying behavior.

Judging Star Wars by whether some character is gay is like judging a car value by how many ashtrays it has. Just pure, random nonsense.

It's not just Disney, the whole film industry is full of people who don't listen. Who have zero creativity. These two things go hand in hand.

Seems to me that OF isn't the real problem here, but how many bullies there are. Kids are taught from a young age to hate each other. OF is just another excuse to do so, among many.

Since there are more and more female developers, it's possible that they don't want the companys best interest as much as a man would, but instead they think they're entitled to spread their opinion and get paid for it. I mean, women are even spiteful towards younger or more attractive women, so why shouldn't that affect their work? It can be anything from subconsciously making characters slightly uglier to consciously having continuous debates at work about what every chick thinks about the beauty standards.

@adams3560 I wouldn't. I find it instead disgusting when having ugly 300lbs characters thrown in your face, or lots of gays doing it publicly just to constantly remind everyone that gays exist. Besides, not only do you need a certain base fitness to be realistically able to accomplish tasks in video games, as for a woman all it really needs is a healthy (not overweight) body for them to be sexy as fk. If such characters don't represent our society well, then there might be something wrong with our society.

@gen-X-trader "Just nasty people trying to set the world their way" So how exactly are you any different from them? And to think that people are feeling less powerful because some OF make more money is not only wrong, it's also quite a stupid deduction. Because if you just think about it for a minute, you realize that there's little to no hate against actors, stars, famous musicians or youtubers, which there should be if you were correct.

@astarothnyarlathotep3815 They're simply incapable of spotting real talent. Darth Kathleen doesn't have it, her films weren't good 40 years ago and they're still bad now.
3
Kathleen Kennedy never made any good films, not 40 years ago and not now either.

I don't like anything that released recently, not Rogue One, Mando was ok but also nothing memorable happened, Andor had only the prison break that was exciting and the rest was dull. Didn't like Infinity wars or the films around it either. It's just all mediocre crap.

Let them do what they want with the franchise. I'm not gonna watch it.

@LieMac Agreed, there are still awesome AAA games, just like with any other media it's around 5% quality products and 95% trash. They're just making lots of ads and publicity and hype for the trash, so we very much notice it.
2
@AshleyWilliams-xq7lj Really?! That is interesting.
2
@Trivial_Whim In Dead By Daylight that's exactly what I'm doing. 😅 Doesn't have to be everywhere, though!

Her age has nothing to do with it. She made bad films 40 years ago as well. She simply never had any creativity to begin with.
2
@GeraltofRivia22 I think so, too. A lot of women are quite spiteful at other women who are younger and more attractive, throwing mean comments at them. I guess they look at videogame characters the same way.
2
@perrobang8925 Aspiring, smart mindset you have there. Gonna take note.

Shame is a tool to butt into other people's affairs and to gain control and power. You might not like what she's doing, but as long as she's not breaking the law or harming anyone, she can do what she wants and it's none of your business.

@ghriszlybare2547 First of all, just because you don't see anything wrong with it doesn't mean there isn't. A few hundred years ago people didn't see anything wrong with slavery. 150 years ago doctors didn't see anything wrong with not washing their hands between operations. In the past some people didn't see anything wrong with burning people at the stake who didn't believe in God. Yet I bet they all would have loved to quote Einstein about humanities stupidity, if they just had known that quote back then. That's some idiotic argument, seriously. Try instead to see past the things that you can see. It could very well be possible that sex work is just a symptom or an indicator for something more underlying, which if eradicated would relieve sex work of being an issue. But a closed mind that doesn't search for the underlying thing won't find it.

I don't know. The profession obviously isn't regarded as anything good, but being bullied because the mother is on OF is the same as being bullied for being short. The reason for this bullying isn't their profession, but because bullies exist and they gonna find a reason to bully. Even the school bullies the parents. Maybe they are blaming everyone else, but the school IS to blame. I'm on the side of the parents. I wonder though how they found out about the mother's profession. Could even be possible that the school let this slip out on purpse to punish them.

@BlackHawkDownSD After 7 months of this I am just thinking being born in a bully society is setting them up to fail. That one girl put it well, you are getting bullied for so many things already anyway, of doesn't matter.

Somehow the live action film looks better than I expected, and maybe that raceswapped love interest passes through as an eskimo undercover. Race shouldn't be at the forefront of every analysis. There's still reason to doubt and be skeptical though because they have messed up every single movie so far.

@ xD lol, I guess you're right.

Women like calling anyone who's more beautiful a slut. Women over 30 are already jealous of the beauties in their 20ies and make toxic comments at them, it's no surprise they also hate beauties in any media including games. This is really just bitterness talking, mixed with a bit of jealousy and insecurity. And we are supposed to let them dictate what we should do? Anyone who does that is a fool.

"Representation matters" sounds to me like "I want more attention".

@noelvoss6744 What effects are those except giving the bullies a reason to bully?

@johannjohann6523 There's noone who can take her place and be better at it. Most likely all shills at Disney, devoid of creativity.

It's shaming gaming because it's a male hobby.
