dust does not have a smell. DO yourself a favor and wipe the dust off your windowsill or trim around your house. Now take a big whiff. You smell nothing because dust has no smell.

@Limrasson yes but mold spores are not dust. They are completely different. Dust has no smell. You can test it yourself. take a damp paper towel and wipe around your trim in your bedroom or bathroom. Smell it. Zero smell. Unless you have stinky water that would make the paper towel smell before you wipe anything.

Since when does dust have a smell? I've never smelled dust in my entire life. it has no smell. Now a musty basement, that smells gross.
