  2. That's something similar to what 8 said, there are billions of them around us, a load them can cure diseases we deal on the daily, but like you said alot more research needs to be done.

Mate this is what i want the NHS in the uk to start working on, there's so many great paths that can be taken with modified viruses' , they can be (one day) modified to to destory cancer (targeted) or to treat resistant bacteria diseases in domesticated animals and humans. There's just a bounty full of opportunities with bacteriophage. Sort of reminds me of eczema and how eczema can become resistant to constant treatment (if you're not careful).
