  4. It'd make a difference, but...don't forget councils are not immune from corruption and they're not immune from going broke, just look at a few of them. Croydon is the biggest example of this (despite Tories being in power for a very long time). I'd say both councils & HAs need to up their game and start building houses & flats that are realistically affordable and this stupid unrealistic so-called prices that only the upper middle class and rich foreigners can afford, while the working class gets left out non stop.
