This issue of housing and rights and building more homes for low income families, singletons and couples has been a massive issue with the cost of living to go along with that for a long time in the UK (a bubble that is going to burst and escalate the issue even further). Fortunately there are pockets of social housing in the UK, if you're lucky enough to get one in time though. I'm in fact very lucky to have gotten permanent accommodation with my social landlord (sigh of relief), because private rent is astronomical in terms of rent prices per month. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy in terms of the private rent sector (they're the demons and devils there).

  3.  @LucasDimoveo  we already do this in London UK lol, it can be done, think smart America it can be resolved. In fact America has the resources and land to do so, use those brown fields to build flats to meet demands for low income folks. There are plenty of ways for social landlords in the USA that can come upwith smart plannings to meet demands otherwise what will happen is you'll get people living in flats that is not suitable for families we are already facing this issue across the pond in the UK, my advice is get a head of the heating bubble if you can, pile pressure on your local government to get to work with meeting the needs of the people ASAP. There no excuse for what they're doing to these vulnerable people (they deserve a roof over their heads period).

  5.  @User-54631  why would anyone who's on low income even consider what you have just said lol, I'm on low income, I don't even blink at mortgages, all I care about is my rent that's it and the bills (services) that I pay for. Anything else is meaningless to me. Especially since people are literally trying to survive. I think your clients are those rich oligarch Russians and Arabs and some rich Americans.

Get smart, get communities, get your local representative ear (in New York AOC screams the loudest haha) maybe she can be your canary again get your representative to pile the pressure on them (the private & social landlords to start building again). Otherwise it will escalate, no matter which part of the USA you go to there will be a housing crisis. So yeah...that's my 2 cents (2 pennies) for you all, I'm from the UK by the way and we have it just as bad as the USA.

  10.  @JoNatMuaythai  in the UK you don't have to pay for that, a part from child care, we would rather help you deliver your child man and we all pay for our health system through tax contribution (the NHS) the system is not perfect but my god at least we don't have to pay £60k for what you mentioned.
