  2. I was born in Dagestan and all my life lived in Russia. I could never imagine something like this insane war would ever happen in my lifetime because of all the reminders of the Second World War growing up, but to my surprise people here did not learned the lessons about those past horrors… I’ve seen sentiments from western people that this is Putins war, but that’s only partly truth as he is the one that started it but it is the people here that on the most part supporting it, even after a year… after everything I’ve seen about what Russian soldiers done to Ukrainians, I could not think of an outcome other than the dissolution of this country. Russian Empire waged bloody conquest on the Caucasus so that after century and a half it could send my countrymen commit atrocities to the people that have done nothing wrong to anyone. I see this war as a result of ethnic Russians culture of alcohol abuse that cultivated irresponsibility and apathy among the nation that will eventually lead to the tyrant at the throne. Russians need to feel defeated so they no longer find warmongering an effective political discourse and I think dissolution of the federation will bring that feel
