Electric cars catches on fire allot less than ice cars. On top of this, fire itself isn't explosive, so its allot safer for passengers in case of car crash. Batteries cant either be recycled and reused in new battery or used in less heavy application, like power wall. And your "see what I did there?" due to lower instances EV's gets on fire. Live and learn.

Yes, 1020. And it costs less. This video comparison was weird, as it compares 100k car vs 150k, that extra 50k should give you all those ups by default, otherwise why would it cost 50k more...
2
Because like 90% of all taxi drives is with 1 or 2 passengers, so to make car way bigger just for the remaining 10% isn't that of a good deal, especially when you could simply call 2 robotaxi at same time

@BizantyjskiBorsuk Batteries are being updated, every single year. And we are not running on 20+ year based batteries... Biggest EV company Tesla currently producing cars with batteries which have been invented in recent years and are made specifically for EV's with cheaper materials and all that jazz. Your understanding about EV's in general is either 20 years old or you just watching to much propaganda from oil companies. You can extinguish electrical car, and those special places are basically made by people who are scared of EV's because they watched to many videos from oil companies saying that EV will burn your house to the ground if you leave it in you garage...

No, it wont require more maintenance. Yes, electrical grid can happily support transition towards electric cars. And your personal preference will be personal, just like some people said that they will never replace their horse with a car, well, there are no more horses on roads, you can still ride one if you really want, but its not something you can use for a daily "drive"
1
Its made to be simple and cheap to make so that Tesla could make millions of those in short period of time. Could they make your crab car? Yes, but it would add way more complexity and increase its initial cost and maintenance price for rare instances when this feature would have tiny benefit. Not a good trade deal I might say.

Only 2 seats because 90% of all drives involved 1 or 2 passengers. Future is where humans no longer need to work and everything is done by robots instead. We already have heavy automation relating to every single production aspect, automation isint bad.

Music isint a video and its allot more distracting for you to keep switching between music and maps constantly instead of having both always open. Its just basic oversight or work in progress thing.

Like a train?

@oscarfentanes2504 So basically, exactly what subway doing now?

So just being generic Musk hater?
1
@Gluosnis9 This is what generic Musk hater means, you despise everything relating to him just for the sake of it and not because that product/service is actually bad. Evaluate products on their own, not on the basis that you don't like CEO of the company.
1
@Gluosnis9 So if Musk invents cure from cancer, you would boycott that too?
1
@anita.b What is your source for your claim that Tesla cars are most dangerous car brand? AS of my knowledge Tesla cars keep getting top scores on safety. Your half decent point here would be about cybertruck, as its not allowed to be used in Europe due to more strict pedestrian safety regulations. Other than this, are you living in different reality than I am?
1
People said exactly same thing about riding horses... Why are you not complaining about that? And you can still do it if you really want it. Same will be with manually driven cars, those will fake out but you will have option to drive one in specialized places or with special permit, but this is decades away.

If its robotaxi then you don't really need infrastructure to be all over the place until 2027. Get 30 cars, get few chargers located at your property, cars would return to recharge when needed. Additionally Tesla could place few wireless charges at existing charging stations for initial robotaxis if needed. Its non issue.

Did you skipped over the part where he mentions price difference?
1
@michaelpierre208 Again, did you skipped over price difference? There is a reason why Tesla have lower quality interior and at same time lower price, those are directly related to each other. He could have atleast compared Plaid model which is atleast somewhat closer to same price range and is latest iteration of interior, but still, having 20-50k extra money for Tesla interior would improve it quite a bit too.
1
@Marcg-b4n Dealerships literally add extra on top of cars price. How does that actually help out with production tho? Same with repair shops.
1
@Marcg-b4n Yes, but that has nothing to do with original comment here.

Even Musk said that this is what they are making in this event, just like he said about cybertruck, people still think that it will change... Well, maybe they will make some small changes to some tiny things, like stop painting tires in gold, but design is there and they are making it as it is.
