  1. Tesla and Waymo systems are not even really comparable here... One only works in pre mapped specific area with bunch of extremely expensive sensors while the other works on any road without a need to premmap with just a few cameras. And those autonomy levels are just that, numbers on paper, those don't really represent actual capabilities of the system, it only represents what responsibility company takes for any accidents which could happen. In other words, Waymo is more stable because its more or less hard coded for specific roads, Tesla is a universal system which will have more issues as its been built to work on any road. Waymo will win on short run, but will loose on long one. This is why even after all these years Waymo is still limited to small areas in just a handful cities , because it simply doesn't scale...

I am like 99.9% of time behind the wheel when we are going somewhere, sometimes I just want to relax and actual observer something else besides grey asphalt in front of me for the next 5 hours of driving... You are making similar argument people made about horse riding, that dint age too well.
