Its not the first one which made story like that you know... Its a fictional story, most obvious fictional story which was proven to be false, no need to create excuses here, it never happen.

Entire model is based on literal magic being real so having some magical wall which teleports you around entire space pancake isint that strange... As strange this might sound...
